Your fingers.
That's it.
The kind of Coffee Used Makes a Big Difference.
The ingredients we'll use only slightly differ between the 3 different coffee scrub types. But first, let's clear up something on the kind of coffee we want to be using.
You can use whatever coffee you have in your kitchen, unless it's
de-caff or 'finely ground'.
The below is just to let you know what the best stuff to use is.
Whether your using instant from a jar or coffee maker coffee, you want to avoid using "finely ground". This stuff is just to 'powderry' to use as a scrub. It may clog up your skin pores and maybe give you a 'coffee tan'.
You want to be using:
-
Medium ground. (pretty good - does the job).
-
Medium coarse grounds. (Better).
-
Coarse grounds. (Much better).
-
Extra course grounds. (Best).
Coffee Beans.
-
Robusta is the best coffee bean to use due to it's high caffeine content.
-
Arabica is fine.
-
Liberica is ok but you'll get 'limited' results due to it's low caffeine content.
-
De-caff is pretty useless as it contains almost zero caffeine.
-
If your coffee doesn't say Robusta or Liberica, it's Arabica.
Let's Get Srubbin'.

Ok guys, no instructions required here.
You know what to do.
The only one thing to mention is that if you used Aloe Vera in some form, you might want to use a sponge or a cloth/flannel to make sure you get it all off.
That's it. That's all. All done.
You're Now a Clean Mean Handsome Machine.
We did say it was quick & easy!
This is what you've just done for your face.
-
Anti-bacterial:
You face is now almost completely free of bacteria. The skin on the hands and face get more exposed to all the microscopic stuff floating around in the air than the skin of any other body part. Now yours is clean & shiny.
-
Anti-fungal:
Similar to the above, there are always microscopic fungae floating around in the air. They've been around on the earth longer than humans have so no need to sweat about it. Your face is now micro-fungal free.
-
Anti-microbial:
What's a microbial? - Examples of microorganisms include bacteria, archaea, algae, protozoa, and microscopic bugs such as the dust mite.
Caffeine kills dust mites and many other 'micro things' that float around the place. Good news is, they're not on your face.
If you added salt to your coffee scrub:
The benefits are the same as above, except stronger. Salt (Sodium chloride -NaCl) is a very powerful and natural anti bacterial agent. A lot of people just don't realise how strong this stuff is at killing bacteria and other micro things that we don't really want on our faces.
If you added Aloe Vera to your scrub:
As well as containing anti-oxidant properties, Aloe V is also anti-bacterial and comes with a whole plethora of other healthy benefits for your skin. And guys, no it's not a "woman thing". It's just a plant put there by nature that contains a lot of health benefits for your skin. Just google "Aloe Vera skin benefits". You'll get a few million results.
If you use a gel or an extract, make sure you get a good quality one to make sure you get al the benefits to be had.
One more thing ... could it actually cost any less? Especially if you only used coffee or coffee with salt. No need to purchase expensive smelling chemicals to cleanse your face. Just go with what nature gave us.
And that's all folks!
