Coffee Scrub for Oily Skin.
Oily skin stays the youngest looking for the longest time. Sometimes it may seem annoying to you having oily skin (some girls feel that way), but in the long run, your the luckiest out of all the different skin types.
See what amazing things our all natural coffee scrub can do for you.
Let's Get Srubbin'.
This is what we will need to use:
-
A dish or a bowl of some sort.
-
A spoon.
-
Your fingers.
-
A food blender of some sort.
This is what we will need to make our 'base' mix.
-
Some coffee.
-
Some water.
-
A few simple ingredients (just below).
For oily skin, we're looking to make a Pore Cleaning scrub.
So, We'll Add a Little Bit of ...
Sea Salt.
A Slice of Lemon.
Some Aloe Vera.
Brown Sugar.
Some Honey.
Some Oatmeal.
Amounts shown are based on having enough scrub to do your face and your neck (if you want to).
(Don't forget that you can freeze a scrub after you've made it. It'll keep fresh for months in a freezer. Leave it thaw out for around 24 hours before use).
Ingredients.
-
Add 4 or 5 teaspoons (or equivalent) of coffee.
-
3 teaspoons of salt. (Sea or rock salt is best. Use whatever you've got).
-
3 teaspoons of sugar (or 3 cubes). Brown is best, white is ok.
-
2 teaspoons of honey.
-
You want 2 teaspoons of Aloe Vera (Plant cuttings or quality organic gel).
-
3 or 4 slices of a cucumber (leave the peel on).
-
About a third of a pint (160ml) of water.
To Do.
Just pop everything into your blender and mix it all up for around 3 to 4 seconds, 3 times. You'll get it just perfect.
-
Pour your mix into your bowl or dish.
-
Find your perfect place to apply your scrub. A bathroom is usually best as it's easy to accidentally splash a bit of scrub onto the floor or wall.
(If you don't want to get any in your hair, place your hair in a bun or use a shower cap or something similar).
Scrubba-dub-dub.
You can apply your scrub however you prefer to, or follow the steps below.
-
Start with your cheeks and rub the scrub in a slow circular motion.
-
Nice & slow. Make sure you gently massage the nourishment into every part of your skin.
-
You can either do 1 cheek at a time or just use both hands to do both at once.
-
Make sure you spend at least 20 seconds massaging the scrub into each cheek.
-
Do your nose. It has skin too! Top to bottom, 20 seconds.
2. Beneath your eyes and around the side.
-
Same technique. Massage your scrub into the skin under your eyes, taking care not to get any in your eyes (obviously).
-
Again, spend at least 20 seconds gently rubbing the ingredients into your skin.
3. Forehead.
-
Circular motions. Just rub it all in but not too hard. Same again here, at least 20 seconds. Make sure you don't miss anywhere.
4. Chin and neck.
We're sure you get how to do it by now. Rubba-dub-dub it all in.
-
Don't forget the 20 second rule.
-
Look up to the ceiling when doing your neck. It'll help open the pores a little more to receive all of the lovely natural nutrition your feeding it.
And that's it. No more required.
All Done.
Absorption time: We highly recommend leaving the scrub on your skin for at least 5 mins, 10 is better. This allows the skin more time to absorb more nutrients from the scrub.
Once your done here, time to hit the shower. It's important that you don't use any chemicals to wash your face/neck. Just use water only.
Au naturale.
Your skin will appreciate it.
This is What You've Done.
Exfoliated.
Anti-bacterial.
Anti-microbial.
Anti-fungal.
Moisterized (but not too much).
Cleaned the pores out.
Nourished your skin.
Entirely Au Naturale.
You can make and apply one of these scrubs whenever you feel like, but we'd recommend no more than once per week, no less than once per month.
